Lieutenant Colonel (Retd) Peter Murphy, Chief Executive Officer, Noetic Group

Peter has an unrivalled leadership track record. In the Australia Defence Force he served in the Middle East and India.  His final appointment was as Chief of Staff at the Royal Military College of Australia – a globally recognised leadership institution.

He co-founded Noetic Group nearly fifteen years ago in Canberra to facilitate change and leadership within organisations. He and Noetic now work directly with all levels of government, private and not for profit organisations in Australia, China, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste and USA.

Noetic’s heritage and approach acknowledges the critical importance of a values-based, outcomes-focused leadership culture. The Noetic approach to leadership is founded in experience, often in some of the most challenging ‘do or die’ circumstances.

With the aged care sector facing significant change as new competitors aggressively seek market share, change will be fast, disruptive and challenging to core business/mission values, staff and viability. A key element to success will be strong leadership.

Some examples of Noetic’s work are:

Organisational Review. Peter led a whole of government review of the NSW Juvenile Justice system

Program Review and Evaluation. Peter leads the ongoing oversight and review of a major functions within the Australian Taxation Office (ATO)

Change management. Peter leads the cultural change of a major Commonwealth Government Agency responsible for the delivery of significant programs of Government

Risk and Assurance.  Peter leads the oversight and consulting on a range of projects for the Department of Resources, Energy and Tourism on providing risk and assurance advice in relation to offshore petroleum resources
