Lois Towart

Principal and Lecturer, Stantons Research and Property Economics, UTS

Bringing over thirty years experience in the real estate industry incorporating, private enterprise, the public sector, equity and debt, Lois has an unrivalled perspective of the investment grade and outlook for the retirement village sector.

She has been a valuer in the sector for Jones Lang LaSalle, Colliers and Stanton Hillier Parker as well as an analyst with Macquarie Bank and Aviid.

As an analyst, Lois has extensive experience equity raisings for property investment incorporating the structuring (domestic and international) of investment vehicles and corporate advisory work.

Now concentrating on research, Lois has conducted an exhaustive review of the investment performance of individual retirement villages and the sector as a whole in Australia. The aim of the research is to provide comprehensive analysis which can be utilised by operators, industry analysts/valuers, equity and debt financiers.

Lois has also been on several Boards of Affordable Housing groups.

She lectures at UTS and is completing her Doctorate in Property Economics.
