Valerie Lyons
CEO, Uniting AgeWell
Valerie has approaching 30 years experience in the aged care and village sector, with an 18 year CEO track record with major organisations.
She grew Southern Cross Care (VIC) from 700 care clients to 5,300 clients. At Villa Maria Valerie had a similar number of clients. In 2014 she successfully negotiated the merger of Villa Maria with Catholic Homes. In January 2015 she took up the CEO role at Uniting AgeWell which has 20 care facilities, 20 independent living sites plus home and community packages serving Melbourne, Geelong, Bendigo and Tasmania.
Valerie is also a Non Executive Director of industry super fund Hesta. She was the founding President of Leading Age Services Australia Victoria (LASA Vic).
